The Petroleum & Chemicals Solution Group’s mission is to secure stable supplies of energy and chemical materials, which are essential in supporting industries, societies and everyone’s quality of life. Our operations include both the manufacturing and trade of a wide variety of materials, such as crude oil, petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemicals, salt and methanol.
We are dedicated to strengthening our core businesses as well as developing new and highly adaptive business models. Furthermore, through initiatives such as the promotion of the fuel ammonia business and the recycled PET/eco-friendly materials manufacturing business, we aim to realize a sustainable society.
Organizational Structure
The Next-Generation Fuels & Petroleum Business Division is working to reduce or eliminate the amount of carbon in fuels to help solve the problem of climate change while developing and conducting its business related to crude oil, petroleum products, LPG and other products. In particular, the division is focusing on ammonia and hydrogen as next-generation fuels that do not generate CO2 and proceeding with joint testing with its partners toward commercialization in order to contribute to a stable supply of energy while reducing CO2 emissions.

The Ecological Materials & Chemicals Business Division is developing its manufacturing and sales business with its partners based on competitive raw materials in the petrochemical and basic chemical fields. In addition, while maintaining the functions and a stable supply of the current petrochemical and basic chemical products, the division is actively working on initiatives to transform materials so that they have a lower environmental impact and contribute to the realization of a recycling-oriented society.

The Global Marketing Division carries out trading activities worldwide utilizing its strong market presence in the petrochemical field (raw material naphtha and olefins, aromatic compounds, plastics, etc.) and basic chemical field (industrial salt, chlor-alkali products, methanol, ammonia, etc.). While providing the functions required by the client industries and business partners, the division is working to increase the value of its business investees of the Company and discover “seeds of growth” for the development of new businesses.
